Description
This art glass basket is attributed to Fenton Art Glass, consistent with mid-20th-century American decorative glass production. The piece features a vertically ribbed body made from peach or salmon-pink glass that transitions into a blue-violet opalescent hue along the hand-crimped ruffled rim. A tall, solid glass arched handle is hand-applied to the sides. The base is finished with a smooth, molded foot, and there are no visible manufacturer marks, logos, or signatures. The construction techniques, including the mold-formed pattern and hand-finished rim and handle, are characteristic of items produced in the Peaches and Cream pattern style.
Condition report:
The basket is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, fractures, or repairs are visible upon inspection. The glass remains clear, and the opalescent treatment is well-preserved.
