This item is a two-piece pressed glass covered dish featuring a lid molded in the form of a crouching rabbit resting on a basket-weave base. The piece is crafted from transparent light blue glass, a shade frequently referred to as aquamarine or ice blue. The lid depicts a rabbit with upright, joined ears and detailed fur texturing across the body. The base is a deep dish featuring a molded basket-weave pattern on the exterior and a smooth, recessed rim designed to secure the lid. This specific design is characteristic of 20th-century American decorative glass and is often associated with manufacturers such as Mosser Glass and L.E. Smith. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the interior or exterior of the lid or the base.
