Description
A two-piece covered candy dish crafted from translucent light green pressed glass in the form of a standing rooster. The dish features a lid comprising the upper body and head of the bird, which fits onto a base forming the lower body and a circular pedestal foot. The entire exterior is decorated with intricate molded feather detailing across the wings, breast, and tail. The glass is a uniform pale green color throughout. The design is similar to pressed glass novelty items produced by American companies such as L.E. Smith or L.G. Wright in the mid-20th century, although no maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The item is in good overall condition. There are no significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use may be present.
