Description
An assortment of mid-20th-century paper goods and ephemera including trading cards, postcards, holiday greetings, and informational documents. The collection features several 1966 The Monkees trading cards marked with copyright Raybert Prod., Inc. and Screen Gems, Inc. Also included is a series of The World of Nature informational cards containing Coca-Cola advertising, featuring subjects such as The Cotton Plant, Native Wild Animals, and Earth and Air and Sky. Scenic postcards depict the Narrows in Cumberland, Maryland, and the Bad Lands National Monument in South Dakota. The lot includes an Army of the United States Honorable Discharge certificate, a Wedding Anniversaries reference card, and various holiday cards, one of which is dated 1937. A blended whiskey label from Berke Brothers Distilleries Inc. is also present. Most items are printed on cardstock or paper and are housed in protective plastic sleeves.
Condition report:
Items exhibit age-appropriate wear including toning, yellowing, and minor corner bumping. Some items show light handling marks or minor creasing. General condition is fair to good given the age of the materials.
