5.28.26 MAY ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 331:
Description
A trio of large-scale holiday blow mold decorations in the form of candles. Each unit is constructed from molded plastic, featuring a white body decorated with a diagonal green spiral stripe. The upper portion of the candle body includes molded dripping wax details and is fitted with a translucent yellow plastic flame-shaped cover. The candles are supported by integral, fluted white bases. These items are designed for internal illumination, featuring a circular opening near the base of the candle shaft for electrical cord access. The design is characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century American holiday decor, often attributed to manufacturers such as Grand Venture or Union Products. No manufacturer marks or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition, showing wear consistent with age and previous outdoor display. Visible signs of use include surface scuffs, scratches, and areas of atmospheric soiling and discoloration. One candle shows more significant dark staining and weathering on the upper white section. Internal electrical cords, sockets, and bulbs are not present. Functionality is untested.
