Description
A trio of decorative objects including one painted ceramic figurine and two hand-painted wooden kitchen canisters. The ceramic figurine depicts an elderly male figure, portrayed as a craftsman or woodworker, seated on a textured gray base resembling stone. He is dressed in a dark vest over a light gray long-sleeved shirt and green-tinted trousers, holding a small mallet and a carving tool. The two canisters are fashioned from turned wood with a dark brown finish, shaped to mimic the form of canning jars. The taller canister is decorated with a hand-painted arrangement of corn, a red tomato, and white mushrooms. The shorter canister features a hand-painted motif of red strawberries with white blossoms and green leaves. Both wooden jars are fitted with gold-toned metal screw-top lids. These lids feature an embossed trademark in cursive reading Kerr.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The ceramic figurine shows no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. The wooden canisters exhibit scattered light surface scuffs and minor scratches to the finish. The hand-painted decorations are well-preserved with only minor instances of paint thinning. The metal lids show some slight oxidation and rubbing to the gold-toned surface.
