Description
A vintage three-tier stacked metal carrier, commonly referred to as a cake saver or picnic carrier, dating from the mid-20th century. The set is composed of three nesting circular containers of uniform diameter made of painted tin-plated steel. The exterior features an orange-red lithographed finish accented by a bright green spherical knob on the lid. The unit is secured by a pivoting heavy-gauge wire frame that serves as both a carrying handle and a latching mechanism, hooking under the rim of the bottom container. The interior surfaces are unfinished metal. There are no visible maker marks, brands, or labels on the item.

Condition report:
This item is in used vintage condition. The exterior orange-red paint exhibits significant scratching, scuffing, and areas of paint loss.
