Description
This vintage advertising counter display jar was produced for Lance snack foods, a prominent American snack company. The item is composed of a clear cylindrical glass jar with a red-enameled metal lid. The front of the glass features a screen-printed graphic of the brand name LANCE in red capital letters above a blue emblem of two crossed lances. The lid is finished with a silver-toned metal pull knob at the center. This type of jar was traditionally used as a point-of-sale display in country stores and gas stations to hold individual cracker or cookie packages.
Condition report:
The glass is in very good condition, clear and free of cracks or chips. The red and blue screen-printed graphics are bright and appear to be fully intact. The red-painted lid shows minor surface wear and small scuffs along the rim consistent with age and retail use.
