Description
A single-sided advertising sign for Texaco Marine Products. The sign is rectangular and features a vertical design divided into a red field and a black field over a white base. The red section contains the Texaco brand name in large white lettering, flanked by two circular Texaco logos. Each logo consists of a white circle containing a red five-pointed star with a green T in the center, the name Texaco in black, and a small registration mark. The black section displays the text MARINE PRODUCTS in white sans-serif block lettering. The sign is constructed of porcelain enamel on metal with a high-gloss finish. The reverse is finished in plain white porcelain enamel. Four pre-drilled mounting holes are present, one in each corner. No manufacturer marks or production dates are visible.
Condition report:
The sign is in very good condition with a bright, glossy finish. There is a visible chip in the porcelain enamel on the front surface along the edge of the black field near the letter P in PRODUCTS. The reverse shows minor edge wear and small localized spots of surface oxidation along the perimeter.
