Description
Attributed to the Indiana Glass Company, this two-piece covered candy dish is rendered in the traditional hen on nest form. The set is made of transparent amber pressed glass. The lid features a nesting hen with molded, detailed feathering on the body and tail. The base is an oval dish with a basket-weave textured exterior and a decorative beaded rim. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the underside of the base or the interior of the lid.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. A small internal air bubble is visible in the glass at the tip of the hen\'s tail, which is a common manufacturing characteristic for this type of glassware. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface wear.
