This vintage two-piece covered dish, known as a Hen on Nest, is crafted from teal aqua glass with a lustrous carnival glass iridescent finish. The finish displays a vibrant spectrum of metallic colors including purple, blue, and gold. The lid is molded in the form of a sitting hen with detailed plumage and a prominent upright tail. The base features a wide scalloped rim, vertically ribbed exterior walls, and a basketweave pattern embossed on the interior bottom.
Condition report:
The dish is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The iridescent coating is well-preserved with no significant loss or wear.
