Description
This is a contemporary hand-painted satin glass figurine produced by Fenton Art Glass and decorated by artist Kim Barley. The figurine is shaped as a stylized ghost with raised arms. The exterior features a comprehensive underwater seascape painted against a blue gradient background that transitions to green at the base. The front of the piece displays a whimsical ghost face with large blue eyes and fangs. Below the face, the decoration includes a variety of marine life such as a clownfish, a pufferfish, and several smaller fish swimming among painted bubbles. The lower portion of the scene depicts a yellow cottage with a chimney, a sign marked NO FISHIN, a crab, and a purple starfish character wearing a witch’s hat and riding a broomstick. The reverse side of the figurine features a small hand-painted treasure chest near the base. The hollow interior of the piece is hand-signed Kim Barley and includes the date 2023 along with the inscription OOAK, identifying it as a unique One Of A Kind creation.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent original condition. There are no observable chips, cracks, or repairs. The hand-painted decoration is vibrant and appears fully intact without signs of wear or paint loss. The satin finish is consistent across the entire surface.
