Description
This mid-century General Electric table fan features a streamlined seafoam green finish and a cast metal construction. The unit is designed with a torpedo-style motor housing and a four-blade metal fan assembly protected by a circular wire guard. A central circular emblem on the guard displays the GE script logo in green and gold tones. The base of the fan is embossed with the words GENERAL and ELECTRIC on either side of a circular logo. Controls include an oscillation knob situated on top of the motor housing and a toggle switch at the rear. The fan retains its original color-matched electrical cord and vintage two-prong plug.
Condition report:
The fan is in as-found vintage condition showing significant signs of age and use. There is extensive paint loss and chipping on all four blades. The wire guard and internal components exhibit surface oxidation and rust. The painted surfaces show overall scuffing, abrasions, and accumulated grime. Mechanical and electrical functionality have not been tested.
