Description
This collection of American Depression-era pressed glass includes an assortment of pink and clear tableware. The group features a pink oval platter in the Miss America pattern, attributed to the Hocking Glass Company, characterized by a diamond-quilted rim and a central rayed sunburst motif. Also included is a large round pink plate and several clear glass plates in the American Sweetheart pattern, attributed to the MacBeth-Evans Glass Company. These pieces feature characteristic scalloped, fluted rims and central molded floral medallions with scrolled borders. The glass exhibits typical manufacturing characteristics of the early to mid-20th century, including molded decorative details and pressed textures. No maker marks are visible on the surfaces of these items.
Condition report:
The collection is in fair to good vintage condition. There is visible surface wear throughout, including light scratching and some dulling consistent with age and use. Multiple pieces exhibit small air bubbles, straw marks, and cooling lines, which are inherent inclusions from the manufacturing process. No significant chips, cracks, or professional restorations are observed.
