Description
This two-piece set features a circular underplate and a matching domed cover, both crafted from opaque custard-colored glass. The material fluoresces bright green under ultraviolet light, confirming the presence of uranium in its composition. The domed lid is decorated with a hand-painted horizontal band of dark-petaled flowers with yellow centers and green foliage, and is topped with a faceted finial. The underplate features a recessed center designed to hold the lid. A small circular paper label with the handwritten name FENTON is attached to the underside of the plate.
Condition report:
The set is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The hand-painted decoration is well-preserved with no significant wear or loss to the enamel.
