Description
A vintage Kenner Give-A-Show Projector set featuring a blue molded plastic battery-operated projector and an assortment of cardboard-framed slide strips. The original lithographed cardboard box is marked with a copyright date of 1965 from Kenner Products Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. The set is advertised to contain 112 color slides comprising 16 different shows. The included color slide strips feature various Hanna-Barbera and Jonny Quest characters, including Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla, Huckleberry Hound, Peter Potamus, and Quick Draw McGraw. The blue plastic projector body features the embossed text GIVE-A-SHOW PROJECTOR on the side and a red plastic lens housing at the front. The interior of the box contains yellow cardboard packaging inserts and two vintage Sunrise brand UM-1 1.5V dry cell batteries.
Condition report:
The outer cardboard box displays moderate age-related wear, including surface creasing, edge rubbing, and minor tears at the corners and flaps. The interior blue plastic projector and cardboard slide strips appear to be in good overall condition. The vintage batteries show signs of age; functionality of the projector and batteries has not been tested.
