Description

This lot consists of three pieces of vintage American glass, including two bowls and one commemorative vase. The two round bowls are Fire-King milk glass produced by Anchor Hocking, featuring a bright yellow applied color exterior and a white interior. Each bowl has a tapered form and rests on a fluted, ribbed circular base. The undersides of the bowls are marked with embossed text including the Anchor Hocking logo, Fire-King Oven-Ware, and Made in U.S.A.

The single commemorative vase is a Fenton Art Glass iridescent “swung” style piece. It is crafted from yellow glass with a strong iridescent finish showing gold, purple, and green tones. The form includes a crimped, ruffled rim, a long fluted neck, and a bulbous lower body on a footed base. The front is decorated with a hand-painted floral motif and the inscription 50th Anniversary in gold-tone script. The base features an embossed script f inside an oval mark. The underside is hand-signed in script Hand Painted by Connie S.

Condition report:

The two Fire-King bowls are in good vintage condition with minor surface marks and light wear consistent with age and typical use. The Fenton commemorative vase has a significant, visible structural crack running through the entirety of the circular footed base
