Description
An assortment of mid-century and vintage salt and pepper shakers and condiment accessories. The collection includes a pair of stylized black ceramic bust shakers with gold-toned neckbands and red lips. Also present are two lithographed tin canisters; the green canister is labeled Elton Kirby’s Pepper and the yellow canister is labeled Percival Duff Salt, both bearing the mark Made in Hong Kong at the base. The group features two plastic shakers with red spherical faces and plaid cloth caps, one marked with a blue S and the other with a blue P, in the style of F and F Mold and Die Works. A plastic condiment holder with two white and black vessels and a central black handle is marked Miracle-Maid and GEM COAT. Rounding out the assortment are two ceramic shakers modeled as a ketchup bottle and a mustard jar, and a small hand-painted ceramic figurine depicting a person in pink patched trousers.
Condition report:
The items exhibit surface wear consistent with age and domestic use. The tin canisters show light surface oxidation and minor scratching. The ceramic figurines and shakers show areas of paint loss and light crazing. The plastic components exhibit minor scuffing, surface grime, and light discoloration. One vessel in the plastic set shows residue on the upper lid. All items appear structurally sound without major cracks or significant losses.
