Description
This collection of novelty salt and pepper shakers is composed of various pairs and individual pieces made of glazed molded ceramic. The assortment includes mushroom-themed shakers featuring nature-themed decals of toadstools and flora, alongside shakers featuring large graphic yellow mushrooms with orange stems in the style of the Sears Roebuck Merry Mushroom pattern. Also present are anthropomorphic sunflower shakers with smiling and frowning facial features on leaf-shaped bases. The collection further contains green watering can shakers marked with P and S, small brown jugs with yellow caps, and a yellow and white polka-dot set comprising a flower pot embossed PEPPER and a watering can embossed SALT.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall good vintage condition. Individual pieces exhibit minor surface wear, small scuffs, and light crazing or paint loss consistent with age and use.
