Description
A collection of approximately 150-200 glass marbles contained within a quart-sized aqua glass jar embossed MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858. The assortment includes various styles such as cat’s eyes, solids, and translucent examples in shades of cobalt blue, forest green, and aqua, topped with a weathered zinc lid.
Condition report:
The glass jar exhibits sharp embossing and no visible cracks or significant chips (photo 1). The zinc lid shows heavy oxidation and a weathered patina consistent with age (photo 1). The marbles display varying degrees of surface wear, small nicks, and crescent-shaped impact marks consistent with play (photo 2).
