Description
A hollow-cast white metal sculpture depicting a standing stag on a rocky outcrop, featuring a copper-flashed surface finish. The piece is rendered in a naturalistic animalier style with textured fur and detailed antlers.
Condition report:
A prominent vertical crack is visible through the rocky base on the right side of the sculpture, exposing the underlying grey metal (photo 3). Significant wear to the copper finish is evident on high-relief areas including the antlers, face, and ears (photo 1). Minor white oxidation and general surface pitting are present within the recessed textures of the body and base (photo 4).
