Description
Pair of hand-colored stipple engravings after Pierre-Joseph Redoute depicting Rosa Centifolia Anemonoides and Rosa Bifera Officinalis. Both prints feature the painter name P.J. Redoute pinx and printer mark Imprimerie de Remond, with specific engraver credits for Bessin and Langlois in the lower right margins.
Condition report:
Both prints exhibit significant uniform toning and darkening of the paper across the entire surface (photo 1). The gilded wood frames show light surface abrasions and dust accumulation under the glass (photo 1).
