Description
A group of ceramic ale vessels featuring transfer-printed monk vignettes and an amber-brown ombré glazed finish. The set consists of a tall pitcher with a ruffled rim and scrolled handle along with matching mugs; no maker’s marks are visible on the undersides.
Condition report:
Heavy and widespread crazing is visible throughout the interior and exterior glazes (all photos). Several mugs exhibit hairline cracks to the interior (photos 2, 3, 5), and minor flea bites are present along the rims of the mugs and pitcher (photos 4, 6).
