Description
A large footed vessel with a matching domed lid, executed in variegated opaque slag glass. The body features dynamic marbled swirls of deep ruby red, bright orange, and white tones. The tapered bowl is supported by a waisted pedestal stem on a circular domed foot. The coordinating lid is finished with an integral tiered and pointed finial. The interior of the bowl displays a high-gloss finish. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the base or interior surfaces.
Condition report:
A significant vertical crack is visible on the exterior of the bowl, extending downward from the rim toward the base (photo 2, photo 3, and photo 4). An internal stress or cooling crack is located at the center interior of the bowl (photo 5). Standard mold registration lines from the manufacturing process are visible.
