Description
A pair of Art Deco figural compotes in peach-colored satin glass. Each pedestal stem is molded as an elongated nude female figure supporting a shell-form bowl with a scalloped petal edge and hand-painted gilt and enamel decoration.
Condition report:
One compote features a large chip on the outer edge of the circular foot (photo 6). This same example shows significant wear and losses to the central hand-painted floral enamel bouquet and the gilt rim (photo 5). The second compote shows minor surface wear to the gilt dots and rim (photo 2).
