Description
A trio of decorative metalware comprising a cast iron commemorative bell with raised lettering reading ST. LOUIS CONFEDERATE, a miniature lidded cast iron cauldron, and an etched brass bell. The pieces feature various decorative elements including five-pointed stars, floral etching, and a sunburst relief on the cauldron lid.
Condition report:
Significant losses to the black and gold-toned painted finish with underlying surface oxidation are visible on the commemorative bell (photo 4). The miniature cauldron displays heavy surface rust and oxidation across the body and lid (photo 3). The brass bell exhibits a naturally aged tarnish and surface patina consistent with use (photo 1).
