Description
Cast stone bust of a Mesoamerican figure featuring a polychrome feathered headdress and integral stepped base. The stylized figure is finished with decorative pigments in a folk-art style.
Condition report:
Significant paint loss and fading across the entire surface (photo 1). Widespread surface pitting and erosion to the cast stone material (photo 3). Lichen and moss growth are present on the ledges of the base (photo 2). Structural chips are visible on the headdress feathers and base edges (photo 1). Large area of material loss or dark discoloration at the back of the head (photo 3).
