Description
An electric table lamp in the Gone with the Wind hurricane style. The piece consists of a matching two-part milk glass font and globe shade, featuring an avocado green to white ombré finish. Both glass sections are hand-painted with a floral motif of large pink roses, yellow blossoms, and green foliage. The upper globe shade is finished with a ruffled rim and sits atop a pierced metal filigree gallery. A clear glass inner chimney is present inside the globe. The lamp is supported by an ornate cast metal base with a dark bronze-toned finish and foliate scroll motifs. It is fitted with a three-way decorative turn-key switch at the socket assembly, designed to illuminate the top, bottom, or both sections simultaneously. The electrical components include a vintage brown plastic cord and a two-prong plug.
Condition report:
The glass components are in good condition without visible cracks, chips, or repairs. The hand-painted decoration is well-preserved with no significant paint loss.
