Description
Period chromolithograph depicting a guardian angel watching over two children crossing a bridge, housed in an ornate oval gilt-finished frame with scroll and shell motifs. This work represents a widely popular turn-of-the-century religious subject.
Condition report:
A prominent horizontal crease is visible through the center of the print. The image shows general toning and minor fading. The frame exhibits surface wear and localized losses to the gilded finish. The reverse features a cardboard backing and oxidized hanging wire.
