Description
Nine glazed porcelain figurines produced in Occupied Japan in the Dresden style featuring applied lace decoration and hand-painted floral accents. One base bears the red underglaze stamp MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN, dating production of the collection between 1945 and 1952.
Condition report:
Discoloration present on the porcelain lace elements, ranging in tone from cream to light brown. Minor chips and small losses are visible on the delicate lace edges, consistent with age and the fragility of the material.
