Sixteen glazed porcelain figurines produced in Occupied Japan between 1945 and 1952. The collection depicts eighteenth-century European courtiers and musicians featuring hand-painted overglaze polychrome decoration, gilt accents, and red maker marks on the undersides.
Condition report:
Items show surface wear, grime, and significant loss to the overglaze decoration and gilding. A minor firing flaw or chip is visible on the base of one figure.
