Description
Attributed to the Handlan-Buck Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, this railway caboose lamp features a spherical steel font and cast-metal wall bracket. The brass burner is fitted with a Naugatuck flame spreader inscribed with patent dates for September 19, 1859, and April 1, 1863.
Condition report:
Heavy surface oxidation, pitting, and rust throughout; missing the original glass chimney and protective cage.
