Description
This pressed carnival glass bowl is attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company, featuring the Vintage Grape pattern. The interior of the bowl displays six alternating clusters of grapes and vine leaves surrounding a central circular medallion with a single five-lobed leaf. The exterior is molded with wide vertical ribbing that extends from the base to the rim. The rim is finished with a tight ruffled or crimped edge. The base glass is a deep amethyst, which is visible in the foot ring, and is coated with a metallic iridescent finish showing tones of gold, violet, and green. The underside of the collar base features an embossed five-lobed leaf design, a characteristic feature of this specific pattern by Fenton. No manufacturer marks or signatures are present on the piece.
Condition report:
The bowl is in excellent condition with no observed chips, cracks, or repairs. The iridescent finish remains vibrant, showing only minor surface variations consistent with the manufacturing process and age.
