Description

This lot features two matching pieces of opaque white milk glass in the hobnail pattern, manufactured by the Fenton Art Glass Company. The set includes one trumpet vase and one stemmed compote. The trumpet vase is designed with a tall, flared body and a deeply crimped ruffled rim. The exterior is covered in a uniform hobnail texture and sits on a circular pedestal base. The compote has a shallower bowl with a matching ruffled rim and hobnail pattern, supported by a faceted pedestal stem and a circular base. The trumpet vase retains an original yellow and black scalloped foil label on the interior. The label includes an illustration of a glassworker and the text AUTHENTIC Fenton HANDMADE. This specific label style was utilized by the manufacturer between the 1950s and 1970s.

Condition report:

Both pieces are in good vintage condition. There are no observed chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass. Minor surface dust and light residue are visible on the interior and the underside of the bases consistent with previous display.
