Description
This glass pedestal bowl, often referred to as a compote or candy dish, is attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company and is executed in the Blue Opalescent Hobnail pattern. The vessel is crafted from transparent medium blue glass and features a dense pattern of raised, rounded hobnails covering the exterior of the bowl and the flared, circular base. The rim is characterized by a wide, double-crimped ruffled edge with a milky white opalescent treatment that blends into the blue body. The bowl is supported by a short, fluted stem. No manufacturer marks, logos, or signatures are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The glass retains its clarity with no signs of clouding or sickness. Minor shelf wear on the underside of the base may be present but is not observed in the provided images.
