Description
This lidded canister was produced by the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio, dating to the mid-20th century. The item is manufactured from pressed glass in a deep olive green color. The decorative pattern consists of large pinwheel or hobstar motifs alternating with panels of diamond-point quilting across the cylindrical body. The coordinating lid features a diamond-point texture and is topped with a faceted, stepped finial. A small blue and silver foil manufacturer’s label remains attached to the interior rim of the jar, displaying the company’s script IG logo and the word Imperial.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or surface abrasions are noted on the lid or the base. The glass remains clear with a few minor internal bubbles typical of the pressed glass manufacturing process from this era. The original foil label is intact and legible.
