Lot 48:
Two American Glass Pedestal Compotes including Imperial Glass and Pink Satin Glass
Sold for: $20
Description
This lot features two American glass pedestal compotes of differing styles and materials. The first is a clear pressed glass pedestal bowl manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company, as confirmed by a blue oval foil label on the interior reading HAND CRAFTED Imperial USA. It is decorated with a pinwheel and starburst pattern, featuring a scalloped rim and a matching patterned foot. A secondary gold foil sticker is present on the exterior but shows significant wear. The second item is a pink satin glass compote with a molded leaf design on the body and a heavily crimped or ruffled rim. The piece exhibits a color gradient, transitioning from an opaque frosted pink base to a more translucent pink at the rim.
