Description
This vintage cast iron skillet was manufactured by the Favorite Stove & Range Company of Piqua, Ohio. The piece features a traditional circular body with two integrated pour spouts and a prominent heat ring on the underside. The bottom of the pan displays the company’s “smiley” trademark, featuring the incised text FAVORITE PIQUA WARE within a crescent-shaped border. A size and mold mark 8F is also incised near the top of the underside. The skillet is equipped with a standard handle featuring a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. A paper collector’s tag attached to the handle identifies the origin as Piqua, Ohio, and provides a date range of 1916-1920s.
Condition report:
The item is in good, pre-owned condition with a dark seasoned surface. Minor surface wear and light carbonization are present on the exterior, consistent with age and typical culinary use. No visible cracks or structural defects are noted.
