Description
This round cast iron griddle is part of the Wagner’s 1891 Original series, a commemorative line produced by General Housewares Corp starting in the late 20th century. The griddle features a flat cooking surface with a low rim and an integral handle with a teardrop-shaped hanging aperture. The underside of the base contains extensive cast-in markings and information. Centrally, it bears the logo WAGNER’S 1891 Original alongside a rectangular border containing the text CAST IRON COOKWARE. Below this is a section labeled SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS which lists a four-step process: 1-SCOUR THOROUGHLY, 2-COAT WITH COOKING OIL, 3-HEAT IN 300 F OVEN-1 HOUR, 4-REMOVE EXCESS OIL, and READY FOR USE-RESEASON AS NEEDED. The base is also marked 10 1/4 INCH GRIDDLE and MADE IN U.S.A., with an additional incised letter Y located above the size specification.

Condition report:
The griddle is in good used condition with a dark, seasoned finish across the surface. No cracks, chips, or significant pitting are visible. A small retail or identification paper tag is attached to the handle with string.
