Description
A vintage kerosene oil lamp featuring a white milk glass fount and a red-painted pedestal base. The fount is decorated with a red floral transfer pattern consisting of five-petal flowers and leaves encircling the center. The lamp is fitted with a metal burner assembly, which includes a thumbwheel for adjusting the wick. Based on visual similarities and market context, the burner is attributed to the Plume and Atwood (P and A) Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. The lamp is topped with a clear glass chimney that has a bulbous base and a fluted, beaded top rim.
