6.25.26 JUNE ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 326:
Description
This is a footed and lidded candy dish produced by the Imperial Glass Corporation. The item is manufactured from translucent olive green pressed glass. The vessel features a circular pedestal base supporting a bulbous body flanked by two scrolled handles. The upper rim of the body and the outer edge of the lid are decorated with a molded beaded or laced edge design. A domed lid sits atop the body, surmounted by a matching scrolled glass finial. The underside of the foot retains an original blue and silver foil manufacturer’s label. This label features a stylized I superimposed over a G within a circle, positioned above the word Imperial in cursive script and accompanied by a small bell graphic. This specific label style indicates production during the period after Imperial was acquired by Lenox in the 1970s.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent vintage condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass. The original paper label remains attached to the base.
