Description
A blue iridescent carnival glass covered jar in the Harvest Grape pattern, attributed to the Indiana Glass Company. This pressed glass piece is characterized by an octagonal-sided body decorated with high-relief molded grape clusters and foliage. The glass features a deep cobalt blue base color with a high-gloss electric blue iridescent finish displaying purple, green, and gold highlights. The matching domed lid is similarly decorated and is topped with a finial shaped like a bunch of grapes. While the pattern and form are highly consistent with the Indiana Glass Company line, no maker’s marks are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. The iridescent finish is vibrant and complete, with only minor pinpoint manufacturing irregularities common in the carnival glass process. Light shelf wear is present on the unground base rim.
