6.25.26 JUNE ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 316:
Description
A pair of matching vintage glass salt and pepper shakers, attributed to Owens-Illinois. The shakers are constructed of clear molded glass in a tapered cylindrical form featuring horizontal molded ribbing. The decoration consists of cold-painted green horizontal stripes of varying widths. Each shaker is fitted with a domed green plastic screw-on lid with multiple perforations for dispensing. The design is characteristic of mid-20th-century American kitchenware. There are no manufacturer marks or signatures visible on the items.
Dimensions: Not specified.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good vintage condition. There is significant and uneven wear to the cold-painted green bands on both shakers, consistent with age and regular use. The green plastic lids show surface scuffing and discoloration but remain structurally sound. The glass bodies appear to be free of major chips or cracks, though some minor internal residue is present.
