Description
A vintage green transparent glass decanter or bottle produced by the Hocking Glass Company in the Cameo pattern, also known as Ballerina or Dancing Girl. The vessel features a bulbous, slightly flattened body with a long neck and a flared rim. The exterior is decorated with mold-pressed designs including draped swags of beads and floral elements, with medallions containing a classical female dancing figure. The glass is a vibrant green characteristic of the Depression era. The piece is machine-made with visible mold seams running vertically up the sides and neck. The underside of the base features an embossed circular mark reading HOUSEHOLD INSTITUTE. These bottles were produced as premiums for the Household Institute and were frequently used to package White House Vinegar during the early 1930s.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. There is a small patch of white adhesive residue on the shoulder of the bottle. Several small air bubbles and prominent mold seams are present, which are inherent to the original manufacturing process. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible upon inspection.
