Description
A mold-pressed carnival glass bowl featuring the Shell pattern, also known as Stippled Shell. The design consists of six molded scallop shell motifs radiating from a central sunburst ornament, set against a stippled background. The bowl is composed of green base glass with an iridescent metallic finish displaying tones of gold, amber, and peacock blue. The rim is hand-ruffled with a crimped edge. The piece stands on a raised collar base decorated with vertical molded ribs. This piece is attributed to the Dugan Glass Company and dates to the early 20th century. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The item is in very good condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible upon inspection. The iridescent surface appears well-preserved with no significant wear. Minor manufacturing variations such as internal bubbles or straw marks, typical of pressed glass from this period, may be present.
