Description

An American art pottery teapot in the Magnolia pattern, attributed to Roseville Pottery, circa 1943. The vessel is crafted from earthenware with a low-profile, bulbous body finished in a matte, mottled blue glaze. The exterior features relief-molded magnolia blossoms in creamy white with ochre centers, set against dark brown branches. A distinctive high-arched bridge handle connects the spout to the rear shoulder of the body. The teapot includes a matching domed lid with a simple button finial. No manufacturer marks or shape numbers are visible in the provided photographs.

Condition report:

Significant crazing is visible throughout the glaze on the body, handle, and lid. Several small chips and areas of glaze loss are present along the top edge of the arched handle. The piece shows minor surface wear and light discoloration consistent with age and use. No significant cracks or professional repairs are apparent.
