Description
This is a Pyrex brand white opal glass oval casserole dish featuring the Town and Country pattern. Introduced in 1963, the decoration consists of a repeating mid-century modern design featuring stylized starbursts and circular geometric motifs in orange and dark brown. The vessel features integrated tab handles and includes a coordinating clear glass lid. The base of the dish is embossed with the following marks: 043 1 1/2 QT., PYREX ®, MADE IN U.S.A., and 18. Based on these markings, this is a model 043 with a 1.5-quart capacity manufactured by Corning Glass Works.

Condition report:
The item is in very good vintage condition. The silk-screened pattern is vibrant and shows no significant signs of dishwasher fade or loss. The white glass body is clean and bright. The interior shows very minor surface marks consistent with light use. The clear glass lid shows typical light shelf wear but no visible chips or cracks. There is minor scuffing on the exterior base rim from contact with surfaces.
