Description

This vintage decorative object is a pressed glass slipper modeled in the shape of a Victorian high-button boot. It features the traditional Daisy and Button pattern, characterized by an all-over multifaceted geometric design. The item is crafted from translucent light green glass that displays a vivid neon green fluorescence under ultraviolet light, indicating the presence of uranium oxide. The design includes an upturned pointed toe, a short flared heel, and an embossed bow decoration on the front vamp. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible on the piece. This form and pattern are consistent with mid-century American pressed glass produced by companies such as Fenton, Westmoreland, and L.G. Wright.

Condition report:

The item is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs visible. A small blue surface mark is present on one side of the heel. A dark vertical line is visible along the top seam of the toe area, which appears to be a characteristic mold line from the manufacturing process.
