Description
This vintage bell was manufactured by the Fenton Art Glass Company as part of the Christmas Fantasy series in 1984. The piece is constructed from opaque white milk glass with a frosted satin finish. The exterior features a multi-color hand-painted scene depicting a child in a blue nightgown looking into a brick fireplace where red and green stockings hang, accompanied by a small dog and a plate of cookies on the hearth. The interior of the bell retains its original black and gold foil sticker reading Authentic Fenton Handmade and a price sticker with model number 7667GE. Handwritten inscriptions in black ink on the inner rim identify the piece as number 210 of a limited edition of 4150, dated 1984, and signed by artist Freda H. The bell features a scalloped rim and is fitted with a clear glass bead clapper attached by a metal chain.
Condition report:
The bell is in good vintage condition. Localized areas of yellowish discoloration and staining are present on the handle and the exterior body. The hand-painted decoration remains vibrant and intact. The clapper is present and functional.
