6.25.26 JUNE ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 104:
Description
This is a molded glass figurine of a stylized songbird, featuring a matte satin or frosted finish. The object is crafted from green custard glass containing uranium, which causes the piece to exhibit a vibrant neon green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. The bird is depicted in a rounded form with simplified molded details for the eyes, wings, and tail feathers. The base is flat for stable display. While no maker’s marks are visible, the design and material are highly consistent with 20th-century American glass production and is attributed to manufacturers such as Fenton Art Glass or Westmoreland Glass.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition. Minor surface scuffs and small dark marks are visible on the breast and side. A tiny red spot is present on one wing, and a small dark speck is located on the top of the head. No chips, cracks, or signs of restoration are apparent.
